We are pleased to present our popular Music Auction, comprising a selection of guitars and other musical instruments, equipment, and music memorabilia.  

We have a carefully curated collection of guitars from renowned manufacturers such as Gibson and Fender, including a stunning Pre-War Gibson 1936 Gibson Super 400, a 1975 Guild Artist Award model jazz guitar, and a 1997 Gibson Memphis Les Paul Custom re-issue.

Other instruments including a fantastic French Mirecourt cello and a Martin style 3K soprano ukelele with original case.

Finally, our memorabilia selection contains some interesting, signed pieces, notably a signed 1970 Pink Floyd concert ticket.

Part two of the Studio sale of George Sherwood Hunter will include a wide range of previously unseen works. The featured lots span his artistic career, including the last ever work he completed- “Fishermen on the Sea of Galilee”.

The sale showcases the range of his work, including landscapes, particularly in Scotland, coastal scenes, tourist works with scenes of the Carnic Alps, small town France, and the eastern Mediterranean, architectural studies, interior scenes, and portraiture.

His confident treatment of light can be seen across the sale, particularly in his lochs, seascapes, and mountainous crags. A few fine examples of in the sale provide a glimpse into his influences, with copies after Henri Regnault, Jean Joseph Benjamin Constant, and Titian, to name a few.

Largely works in oil, there can be found a few watercolours and etchings.
