The Collectors' Auction

Date: 27th Aug, 2026 10:00

A rare and exceptionally well-documented item headlines Anderson & Garland's forthcoming Collectors' Auction on 27th August: a signed copy of the Beatles' American-only album Beatles '65, one of only two such copies known to survive, carrying an estimate of £20,000-40,000. The album's history is tied directly to the filming of the band's second feature film, Help!, in the Bahamas in February 1965. It was signed for BOAC air stewardess Angela Bass during the return flight to London, on which she spent considerable time in conversation with all four Beatles; three signed the reverse of the sleeve, while George Harrison chose to sign the front. The album has remained with the same family for sixty-one years and is now being consigned for sale by Mrs Bass's three sons.

The Collectors' Auction will bring together items across a range of categories, including books, music, comics, wine and whisky, and consignments are still welcome ahead of the sale. If you have items you would like to include, get in touch now to discuss consignment.
