Our Fine Silver auction boasts a spectacular selection of both antique and modern silver.

With over 400 lots due to come under the hammer, you can expect to find examples of beautiful 17th Century pieces as well as stunning pieces by desirable modern makers. One of our earliest pieces in the sale, is a stunning a William and Mary silver mounted pin cushion, by Anthony Nelme, London 1691.

Within our impressive selection of 18th and 19th Century pieces, some highlights include a late George III silver cup, by Paul Storr, London, 1819, a pair of early George III cast silver candlesticks, by William Café, London, 1765, a rare George III silver 'thumbhole' snuff box, by Thomas Phipps and Edward Robinson, and a late 18th Century Spanish silver wine goblet.

We also have some gorgeous Victorian silver, including a rare silver castle top snuff box with a view of Worcester Cathedral, by Nathaniel Mills Birmingham, 1843, a Scottish provincial novelty paper knife, by Ferguson and MacBean of Inverness, 1897, and a rare cast silver vesta case in the form of a horse’s head, 1884.

For those interested in more modern silver, we have a fantastic early 20th Century Danish small silver dish designed by Johan Rohde (with Rohde’s mark), made by Georg Jensen of Copenhagen, a pair of Edwardian silver novelty pepperettes in the form of chicks, by William Hornby, London, 1906, and a George V Art Deco silver coffee pot and matching hot water jug, 1929.

Along with these, this auction will also offer a brilliant selection of Old Sheffield plate.
