WE SHALL RE-OFFER THIS ITEM INTO THE NEXT FINE ART SALE WITH A RESERVE OF £1000 AND A REDUCED ESTIMATE OF £2000-£3000 A fine George III mahogany and yew wood crossbanded secretaire bookcase, the associated top with plain cornice above a pair of astragal doors enclosing adjustable shelves, serpentine chest below fitted dummy drawer fall-flap enclosing eight short drawers and a small compartment with sliding cover, three long graduated drawers below fitted later angular brass handles with flowerhead pattern escutcheons, raised on bracket feet, 50 x 23 x 83in. high.
