John Weston, Wolsingham: a George III mahogany and banded longcase clock, the brass dial with silvered roman chapter ring, engraved to the centre with a recumbent lion amongst foliated scrolls, the subsidiary seconds dial engraved with snake and bird design, two train movement with anchor escapement, moon phase to the arch, the case with swan neck pediment and dentil decoration, arched door flanked by turned columns, the central section with blind fret frieze above a shaped and banded waist door flanked by fluted quadrants, panel base with canted corners and bracket feet, 86in. high.
