Oxberry (John, compiler) Scrapbook of material relating to or by William Weaver Tomlinson, 4to, modern half morocco, printed and manuscript ephemera, newspaper cuttings pasted or tipped in, bookplates of John Oxberry and City of Leeds Public Libraries. William Weaver Tomlinson (1858-1915) was a historian of the North East of England. John Oxberry (1847-1940), historian, was a native of Windy Nook, Gateshead. This album contains among other things an 'Obituary Notice' of Tomlinson by Oxberry and correspondence between Oxberry and Tomlinson, and several offprints of articles by Tomlinson, including order forms and prospectuses for his North Eastern Railway and Denton Hall and its Associations.
