An early 19th Century flintlock sporting gun, the 14 bore barrel with half-length fore-stock (missing ramrod), holding various proof marks and indistinctly inscribed, possibly 'Allon, Newcastle', the flintlock action on lockplate also inscribed 'Allon', the chequer cut stock with iron butt cap, 116cms (45 1/2in.) long.
