John Wilson Carmichael (1799-1868) ''FISHER ROW WITH ARTHUR'S SEAT IN THE DISTANCE'' signed, inscribed and dated 1836 pencil and wash on brown-tinted paper 25 x 36.5cms; 9 3/4 x 14 1/4in. PROVENANCE From an album of J.W.C. drawings collected by Sir Hubert Jerningham of Longridge Towers in the mid 19th Century. Sold together with the original gilt morocco folio that contained the drawings. (2)
