Harriet Frances Sophia Mackreth (1803-1887) A miniature portrait of James Jerremy Taylor, and a companion portrait of a cleric, Phillip Parker Gilbert (1811-1886), bodycolour on ivory, 9 x 7cms; 3 1/2 x 2 3/4in. (a pair) NB James Taylor grew up to become the agent for Pooley's Weighing Machines and lived at 50 Percy Gardens, Tynemouth. Harriet Mackreth exhibited her work at the Royal Academy between 1828-1842.
