A strike-pump Gallery gun, possibly by Johann Peterlongo, with 29 1/2in. octagonal barrel, .239 cal. with heavy U-shaped fore-sight, rear peep sight, under action latch, double set triggers and scrolling guard, ornate heavy section walnut stock with crank wind, cheek piece and scrolling plated butt cap, circa 1850-60, 45in. long overall. (stock badly split and repaired in numerous places)
