Engraved composite stem wine glass, the drawn trumpet bowl with fruiting vines, the grapes as polished circles above multiple spiral air-twist stem extending to beaded knop, on similarly engraved conical foot, mid 18th Century, height 17.1cms. See illustration PROVENANCE William MacAdam, BADA, Edinburgh, 20 September 1986, £395. NOTE Composite stems are thought to originate mainly, if not exclusively from Newcastle. Engraved examples are rare.
