Opaque twist wine glass, the bell bowl above double series opaque twist stem with shoulder and central knops having pair of spiral threads enclosing gauze on conical foot, mid 18th Century, height 15cms. See illustration PROVENANCE William MacAdam, Edinburgh, 7 February 1984, £115. NOTE According to L. M. Bickerton that as regards the knopped DSOT stem glasses, ''One may safely say they mostly come from Newcastle''.
