A late 17th Century high back open arm chair, with ornate leaf carved cresting rail above the date 1675, carved panel under, fitted open scrolling arms above the solid plank seat, raised on turned and square front legs with understretchers, the seat 23in. wide, the back 46 1/2in. high; together with one other oak open arm chair with carved back and solid seat, raised on turned and square legs with understretchers (possibly made up).
