An Excelsior Type Q phonograph, circa 1903, playing 2-minuet cylinders, key wound with a floating reproducer, the steel casing painted red and black and with EWC logo (Excelsiorwerk of Cologne), within oak carrying case; with silver metal horn. N.B. The Excelsior range was marketed by J.G. Murdoch & Co. until the Great War.
