A cased small bore Adams 1851 model five-shot self-cocking revolver, retailed by E.M. Reilly & Co, 502 New Oxford Street, London, fully blued with an octagonal sighted barrel engraved with retailer and address, the cylinder with engraved chevron band, fitted with safety-stop, arbor pin catch and rammer, engraved on both sides with floral scrolls, engraved '37619' below barrel and '42295' below trigger guard, the checker cut walnut grip with black cap, 7 1/2in. (19cms) long; the fitted mahogany case with trade label to interior lid, original lining, fittings include: a copper and brass powder flask, by Dixon & Co, Sheffield; a brass bullet mould, unnamed; one original oil pot; and one later pot, case size 8 3/4 x 6 x 2in. (22 x 15 x 5cms).
