A pair of early 19th Century bronze signal cannons, the tapering barrels each with flared lip and engraved with The Leather Family crest of Middleton Hall, Belford, Northumberland, on associated stepped wooden trolleys with metal brackets and metal bound wheels, barrels 41in. (104cms) long, with 2in. bore, the trolleys 30 1/2 x 19 x 18 1/2in. (78.5 x 48 x 47cms). See illustration
