A pair of good quality arm chairs in the manner of James Hicks (1866-1936), Dublin c.1910, recently re-upholstered and raised on ornately carved dwarf cabriole legs decorated with shell motifs and scrolls, the frieze to front and sides centred by grotesque masks and flanked by profusely carved acanthus scrolls, ribbons and tassels, on claw and ball feet each with a bead collar, 34 x 34 x 35in. high at back.
