Faith Jaques (1923-1997) ''TILLY'S HOUSE'' with inscription on a gallery label verso watercolour 15 x 38cms; 6 3/4 x 15in. PROVENANCE Abbott & Holder, London. NB Tilly's House (1979) The Story of a Dutch Doll, was the Artist's first picture book as author and illustrator. She also illustrated numerous books for other authors, perhaps most notably for Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, 1967.
