A George III cheese warming dish and cover, by William Stroud, London 1807, rectangular form, the raised hinged cover with urn finial and engraved with crest, with chain and hook attachment, turned wooden baluster handle, the interior with six rectangular removable dishes, 24cms (9 1/2in.) wide, 51.5oz. gross. NB The crest is possibly that of Blount of Mapledurham. See illustration
