Georgina has a degree in History and Art History from Northumbria University, and an MA in Fine Art, The History of the Art Market and Connoisseurship, from Christie’s New York.
Georgina interned with Christie’s Impressionist and Modern Art Department in New York, and joins the team at Anderson and Garland after 12 years working in the auction industry; the past seven years helping in the establishment of Laidlaw Auctioneers and Valuers.
Georgina’s areas of specialist interest include jewellery, silver, costume and textiles, pictures, and works of art.
With a keen interest in writing, Georgina has contributed lifestyle and antiques articles, in local and regional magazines, including Living North. In her spare time she enjoys reading, writing, drawing, and gardening. She is also currently restoring her Victorian home back to its former glory.
