Hamish Trower

Auctioneer and Valuer

Hamish studied Art History at the University of Leeds, specialising in 18th- and early 19th-century painting. 

Having aspired to work in auction houses from a young age, he gained his first professional experience as a Fine Art Assistant, before becoming an auctioneer and valuer in 2023, where he developed specialist knowledge in pictures, rugs and furniture. 

He joined Anderson & Garland in 2026 as a General Valuer and looks forward to broadening his expertise across a wider range of specialist areas, working alongside a highly experienced team unrivalled in Northern England and the Scottish Borders.
