Hello and welcome to the Autumn Newsletter.
With the long hot summer days drawing to a close, we’ve a big schedule of events ahead this Autumn. With ten large auctions to go before the end of the year, there’s certainly no slowing down. These include specialist sales in Modern Art & Design, Musical Instruments, Comics, Books, and a wide range of Collectors’ items featuring Sporting Items, Costume, Toys, Enamel signs, Coins, Stamps and much more. Of course, the seasonal highlight is our flagship Country House & Fine Interiors Auction in November.
To complement our action-packed auction calendar, we’ve an extensive programme of specialist valuation day events planned, both here at Anderson House and across the region. After the busy and successful launch of ‘The Anderson & Garland Roadshow’ this summer, our valuers will be returning to Berwick, Alnwick and Durham in October and again in February. Details of all the above events are available on our website. If you have items to sell, simply book an appointment online or call us and speak to one of the team.
Our sister company, A&G Land & Property Agents, continues to go from strength to strength, with some impressive sales results over the summer. In particular, clients have been queuing up to take advantage of our one stop shop service for the sale of both property and contents. If you’d like more information on the services we provide, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
After a successful launch in early August, the A&G Café, ‘Going, Going, Scone’ has now welcomed lots of new and returning customers. Thanks to all of you who have supported so far. If you haven’t done so yet, please drop-in next time you’re passing. Manager Sue Bell looks forward to welcoming you each viewing day. We hope you enjoy the delicious food & beverages on offer as much as we do.
Lastly, we reached another milestone in our green pledge. Now all our company cars are electric. Moreover, we’ve received lots of positive feedback about our decision to move away from printed catalogues. Customers are enjoying our enhanced digital offering for which we’ve received further excellent reviews. We continually monitor all our business practices, as we work towards a more sustainable future.
