Silver has been our biggest growth area at auction over the past few years, with high prices being achieved across the board. Demand at auction for silver has been driven upward by a combination of high overall precious metal prices and the continued appeal for interesting and well made antique items and objects.
As one of the UK's largest regional auction houses, our Fine Silver Auctions, held three times per year at our Newcastle auction house, offer a wide range of items from the 16th Century through to the present day and attract buyers from around the world. A typical fine silver auction can include traditional English antique silver as well as silver from Europe, China, Russia, America and India. Objects of Vertu covers a wide collecting area and includes items such as decanter labels, nutmeg graters, card cases, vinaigrettes and collectors' boxes.
Silver and objects of more modest value are sold in our fortnightly Homes & Interiors sales.
All sales are fully illustrated and promoted on this and other collectors websites.
You can request a free pre-sale silver valuation online or by ringing 0191 430 3000.
