A Regency mahogany wine cooler, of sarcophagus form with moulded caddy top, the panelled base with reeded canted corners, raised on carved paw feet, the lead-lined interior with central plug hole and with later inscription onpaper 'To Ann Boissin and David Gordon from Old Stephen and Young Bill Spurling, April 29th, 1939' etc., 29 1/2 x 20 x 21in. high.
