EXHIBITED The Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle, Loan Exhibition of Works by Ralph Hedley, R.B.A., October-December 1938 (Exhibit No. 99). Listed in Ralph Hedley's Executors' Book, listing paintings in his possession at the time of his death in 1913, List No. 186 (titled 'Woolwashers'). A larger version of this composition was exhibited at the Bewick Club Members Exhibition in 1910 (titled 'Woolwashing') and subsequently at other exhibitions from 1938-1940 titled 'The Woolwashers'.
