See illustration PROVENANCE Thomas Agnew & Sons, Old Bond Street, London. NB Le Marchant was born in Lincolnshire and studied at the Byam Shaw and Royal Academy schools, much of his work, in oils and watercolours have been painted on the Continent especially in France and in Italy.
