A Hodges elastic powered gun, made to an 1849 patent, the 30in. barrel with cast brass muzzle mount with fruit wood stock decorated with leaf carved motif, tap cocking trigger, the chequered butt fitted a flush fitting circular compartment, 46 1/2in. long overall, serial no. 85 (breech mounting missing), 47in. long overall.
