Frank Watson Wood, snr. (1862-1953) ''DUNKIRK'' signed, inscribed and dated 1944 watercolour 25.5 x 36cms; 10 x 14in. NB Although attributed to Wood, snr., this watercolour may in fact be the work of his son Frank Watson Wood, jnr. (1900-1985), whose style is almost indistinguishable from that of his father. Wood, jnr., saw active service with the Black Watch, whose first, fourth and sixth battalions were engaged in this campaign.
