Robert Petersen ''June'' 1978 Signed, inscribed and dated Pencil, ink, crayon and collage on paper 51 x 66cm See illustration Biography: American born LeMars, Iowa, 1945. Moved to Whittier, California, 1952. Studied art at Fullerton Community College, 1963. Specialised in printmaking at California State University, 1966 under Robert Evermon. Worked as assistant printer at Gemini G.E.L. in 1969, printing editions for Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg. Moved to Captiva Island, Florida to work with Rauschenberg in 1970. Established the experimental print shop Untitled Press Inc. with Rauschenberg in 1971. Exhibited: First solo show in 1973 in Paris. Left Captiva Island 1980. Currently works in Tivoli, New York, with his wife Cinda Sparling and daughter Lena.
