Sacks: was hunted six seasons in the New Forest then purchased by his present owner... by him nine years as a buggy horse, when losing his condition he was shot at the great age of twenty-one - he was a thorough good one, 1838'' on the stretcher rear oil on canvas 49.5 x 60cms; 19 1/2 x 23 5/8in.
