A Korean silk rank apron, late Choson Dynasty, sewn with four pairs of cranes within floral borders, a deep blue fringe and two gilt metal rings attached, 28 3/4in. (73cms) long overall. PROVENANCE Collection of Arthur Hyde Lay, 1864-1934, Consul General in Korea, late 19th Century, thence by descent.
