(a pair) See illustration Note: Maria Duchess of Gloucester (1736-1807) was the granddaughter of Robert Walpole (1676-1745). Her marriage to the Prince William Henry, Duke of Gloucester (1743-1805) led to the Royal Marriages Act 1772 since it was done without the consent of George III.
