A Louis XV tulip wood, kingwood and marquetry secretaire à abattant of bombé form, the serpentine marble top above shell and scrolling leaf with flower frieze, above a fall-flap decorated with a ewer containing flowers surrounded by acanthus scrolls, opening to reveal a watered silk writing surface and fitted drawers, three drawers under flanked by gilt brass mounts, raised on tapering swept legs terminating in leaf decorated brass sabots, 26 1/2 x 12 x 51in. high.
