Engraved opaque twist goblet, the bucket bowl with floral motifs above double series opaque twist stem with multi-ply (fourteen approx) band enclosing pair of spiral threads, on conical foot, mid 18th Century, height 19cms. See illustration PROVENANCE Janet Lumsden, Edinburgh, 18 October 1980, £135. NOTE It has been suggested that this twist stem form was a favourite of Beilby leading to the possibility that this is a glass of Newcastle origin.
